Greetings All
I just want to begin by saying thank you for taking your precious time to read my blog. I know that there are so many wonderful faith based writers sharing the powerful words that God has given them. I’m honored that you’ve chosen to read about me and others that are willing to share their stories of how God shows up and shows off as only He can. The only purpose of this blog is to further the kingdom of God. And, because God has a wonderful sense of humor, that we laugh and cry together on the journey. But most of all, I hope I honor Him in every way. As I share the stories of others I’ll also be sharing mine along the way. Here’s a little background on me.
Growing up in a small town in south Alabama has its advantages and disadvantages. Nothing was a secret. Everyone knows your business and they will tell your mama on you if you do anything wrong. However, when everything goes pear shape you have a community to support you. My mother made sure I went to church and I remember at the age of twelve I wanted so desperately to follow Jesus. There were so many wonderful Christian men and women that did their best to sow good seeds in me at that little country church. Unfortunately, I chose the worldly way for my youth and young adult life. I’ll share more about that later.
In 1991, I married my wonderful husband. We have one awesome son, a sweet daughter-in-law and a beautiful grandson with another baby on the way. At the the age of twenty-five I decided to follow Jesus and have been doing just that for the past thirty-one years. My spiritual birthday is coming up on September the 12th. ( I think I’ll buy a cake to celebrate). I would love to say the past years have been a pleasant stroll. But, I can’t. At times I was barely able to crawl on my hands and knees and other times where spent flat on my face. But, the one constant, Jesus. No matter the situation He was, is, and will always be here with me. He is a promise keeper.
Well, that’s enough about me for now. I’m working with a few people now and hope to bring their amazing stories to you. And of course, I’ll share more about my story and thoughts given by God. Again, thanks for reading.
